About Ramon Ayala

Ramon Ayala, born on December 8, 1945, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, is a renowned Mexican musician, singer, composer, and accordionist. He is widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in Norteño music, a genre that blends traditional Mexican folk music with elements of polka and country. Ayala's contributions to Norteño music have earned him the title "King of the Accordion," and his career spans over five decades. Ayala's musical journey began in his teenage years when he formed the legendary Norteño band, Los Relámpagos del Norte, with Cornelio Reyna in 1963. The duo quickly rose to fame with their distinctive accordion-driven sound and heartfelt lyrics. Their hits such as "Mi Tesoro," "Ya No Llores," and "Tragos Amargos" became instant classics, solidifying their status as pioneers of Norteño music. After Reyna's departure from the group in 1971, Ramon Ayala continued to lead Los Relámpagos del Norte and embarked on a successful solo career. With his virtuosic accordion skills and emotive vocals, Ayala continued to produce hit after hit, earning him numerous awards and accolades. His solo career flourished with iconic songs like "Un Rinconcito en el Cielo," "Chaparra de Mi Amor," and "Rinconcito en el Cielo."             -For most events, doors open approximately 1 hour prior to the event start time. All patrons entering the facility are subject to search and inspection.

To reduce contact with guest belongings and expedite entry into Smart Financial Centre, Small clutch bags or purses do not have to be clear but cannot exceed 4.5″x6.5". Clear bags should not exceed 12"x6"x12". Medical or parenting bags are permitted at the venue and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and subject to search. - Children ages 2 & up must have a ticket.
- Seat 1 in Section 105 is NOT an aisle seat. High-numbered end seats in 101 are NOT aisle seats.
- Seats in the ADA section, labeled WC are removable cushioned folding chairs.
- Sections 101 and 105 start on the floor and elevate up to the 2nd floor.
