About Ludovico Einaudi

Ludovico Einaudi, born in Turin on November 23, 1955, is a celebrated pianist and composer. Influenced by his mother, an amateur pianist, he studied at the Conservatories of Turin and Milan under Azio Corghi, later working with Luciano Berio and Karlheinz Stockhausen. In 1982, he encountered American minimalism at the Tanglewood Music Festival, shaping his signature style.
Einaudi’s career spans ballet, cinema, and theater, with compositions like Le Onde (1996), inspired by Virginia Woolf, and I Giorni (2001), influenced by a trip to Mali. His soundtracks include This Is England (2006) and Nomadland (2020). Notable works such as Divenire (2006) and Elements (2015) crossed over from classical to pop charts.
Renowned for his evocative live performances, Einaudi has played iconic venues like Royal Albert Hall and La Scala. During the pandemic, he released 12 Songs from Home (2020) and Underwater (2022), which won the Opus Klassik award. His upcoming album, The Summer Portraits, releases January 31, 2025, continuing his legacy of musical storytelling.

-For most events, doors open approximately 1 hour prior to the event start time. All patrons entering the facility are subject to search and inspection.

To reduce contact with guest belongings and expedite entry into Smart Financial Centre, Small clutch bags or purses do not have to be clear but cannot exceed 4.5″x6.5". Clear bags should not exceed 12"x6"x12". Medical or parenting bags are permitted at the venue and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and subject to search. - Children ages 2 & up must have a ticket.
- Seat 1 in Section 105 is NOT an aisle seat. High-numbered end seats in 101 are NOT aisle seats.
- Seats in the ADA section, labeled WC are removable cushioned folding chairs.
- Sections 101 and 105 start on the floor and elevate up to the 2nd floor.
